The Sun Also Rises

The Sun Also Rises
Ernest Hemingway

It's hard to knock a book that everybody loves. Well, not really. This book is forgettable and boring. Hemingway is excellent at knowing how to put people to sleep. Absolutely no plot and the characters were cardboard cut outs with little emotion. There was no descriptive quality in the writing and the dialogue was repetitive. A couple of drunk guys and a woman go to Spain and see a bull fight. The woman is a complete punk to everyone and the guys are in love with her. The story is not interesting because it is flat with no life in it. I do have to admit that there were a couple of scenes in the book that were interesting but they were and far between.
